Nativity in April!

I am so excited because the nativity is finished! Hooray! It turned out great! This will be a display for the Quilt Barn!

This cute little top for Beverly turned out awesome! But it reminded me of how when I was a freshman in high school I did a beautiful back flip on the tramp. The only problem was that I did it on accident, so my teacher kicked me off the tramp for a week. I thought I had cast on 242 stitches, but when I got to the arms, I realized that I had 208...........Sure hope I don't get kicked off the knitting needles, for such a blunder. It turned out to be a perfect accident.

My granddaughter wanted a Rapunzel doll for her birthday.

 Her hair is so gorgeous!

I made my own stitch! It was easy and looks great! But, I didn't write it down. Not smart.
Of course, she needed bare feet!
I'm not really happy with the face, but she is okay!

What a wonderful blessing to have people to love! I'm so glad they like me to knit for them. We almost lost our lovely Mary this last month. I'm so very, very thankful that she is still with us! I love all my family so very much! :)

Knitting for March and April

I have so much fun that I don't take time to write about it very much.  So what have I been doing?

An Allen Dart Frog Prince

This cute little doll needed some pajamas. It would have been nicer if I had used a pattern.

This is a cute little butterfly!

This was a sweater that I tried to fix. I made it into a bag instead of throwing it away.

I made this beautiful afghan for my daughter-in-law! The picture isn't all that great, but the afghan turned out nice.

I did a bunch of these flowers (designed by Nicky Epstein) for my other daughter-in-law. They are not as nice as I would have liked, but not too bad.

This one is from a scarf by Robyn Diliberto.

This is Hyrum's parrot

I've been working on this Jean Greenhowe nativity for the Quilt Barn! It's almost all done with the knitting, but I still need to sew it together.

I did this lovely  topsy-turvy Cinderella Doll

This not only keeps me busy and happy but it is so wonderful to have something to do. Something with purpose and passion. Something to keep me interested. Something to think about................ :)

December, January, February Knitting!

I guess it's time to catch up on what I've been knitting! I suppose this shows that I prefer to knit than blog. At the beginning of December I was working on another Jean Greenhowe topsy-turnabout doll. I had so many other things going on that I decided to put it on hold and finish it in January for my daughter's birthday, instead of her daughter's birthday.

Now I remember why I don't really like to blog. I have a hard time getting my pictures to sit where I want them to sit. But it's okay. Someday I'll get it!

So I made this little turnabout bunny/duck for Elizabeth
I made a bunch of felted ornaments for my family! I made one for everyone with their names. And some for friends too!

Here are some very warm mitten/gloves for Mary.  This is yarn from her trip to Rhode Island
This was a fun scarf for Mary.

My niece was so nice to show them off
I made these cool wrist warmers for a friend who sews. So we traded and I did the warmers and she made a fleece outfit for my hubby! Turned out great! I also made a cute little llama for Dr. Dan. but I didn't get a picture of it.
This is Alexander's Lion!
These are my son-in-law's mitten/gloves. Which starts me out for the year. I plan to make something like this for all my son's and son-in-laws this year.

A dragon for Bradley
So this brings me up to January 11......... So here I am thinking................................................................................................. Okay, I'm done thinking... What's next?
The doll for Tina was next..
And a scarf too..
Now only 6 more projects to talk about

There are 3 kids birthdays in February so I did

A giraffe for Cathrine

And another cowboy doll for Johnny!
A cowboy doll for Jacob

My daughter and I took a very awesome trip to the Oregon Coast during February! We had a marvelous time!

I could write tons about our trip! It was fabulous! While I was gone I did these gloves/mittens for my husband!
It worked great, because they were small and a nice easy stockinette stitch.
It was my birthday in February, so while I was gone I bought some yarn at Cannon Beach and made a very cute little bag
My Cannon Beach Bag! Just big enough for my wallet and a ball of yarn!
My other project was a sweater. But I didn't like the yarn for the sweater I was making , so I felted it and I'm going to turn it into a wallet. So I will save that project till my next blog. It 's amazing that I am still so excited about knitting! I just seam to always find more to enjoy about it!
